Summer at Rocky Mountain Lodge & Cabins
June 2010
After a long winter that started in September and seemed to just finally leave a couple weeks ago, we are ready to welcome summer! Summer in the Rocky Mountains is a beautiful time of year. With beautiful blue skies, warm weather (not HOT), and very little humidity, it's a great place to escape the heat of the summer for many of you. And there's also so much to do here in the Pikes Peak region. If you've been our guests before, come back and experience some of the activities you may not have been able to experience before, or just sneak away for a few days to escape the hustle and bustle of life, reconnect, and "recharge your batteries". And if you've never been here, check out one of our outdoor adventure packages and experience the beauty and excitement of the Rocky Mountains for yourself.
Garden of the GodsGARDEN OF THE GODS
Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs is one of the most photographed places in the state of Colorado, and photo buffs come here to take advantage of the spectacular beauty of the red rock formations against the beautiful backdrop of the magnificent Pikes Peak and surrounding mountains.
Garden of the Gods Park is a registered National Natural Landmark, with 300-foot towering sandstone rock formations and snow capped mountain vistas and crystal blue skies help create some of the most stunning views you will ever see.
It is also one of few parks that are free to the general public. It is open year round and is one of the "NOT TO MISS" places to visit while visiting Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak Region.
Click here to visit the Garden of the Gods' website.
For more on what to do while visiting the Pikes Peak area, see our Attractions Page.

It is hard to believe that we have just started our 9th year as owners of the Rocky Mountain Lodge & Cabins. We've been through a lot over the past several years.... building our house, remodeling projects, graduations, weddings, and new babies being born.
Our family continues to grow. When we started running this business our children were all in Junior High and High School. They are now all grown, Bethany and Rachel are married (both girls got married here at the Lodge), and Nate will be a Senior in college this coming year. We currently have 2 grandsons and a third grandbaby is on the way, due early next year. We couldn't be more thrilled!
Where does the time go?!
Stay at least 3 nights in our Manitou Room, Ute Indian Trail Room, or Midland Room, Sunday - Thursday nights in June and take 20% off your stay. See our Specials page for details.
