Spiked candy balls are an easy to make festive holiday treat. And not just for holidays, but any time of year! These rich treats are so easy to make, require no cooking, and you can make them from start to finish in about 30 minutes.

  • 1 cup chocolate wafer cookie crumbs, or chocolate graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon*


  1. In a large bowl, combine the cookie crumbs, 1 cup coarse ground pecans, and the powdered sugar. Add the corn syrup, and bourbon. Mix thoroughly. Spread the remaining 1 cup finely chopped pecans on a plate. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls. Roll the balls into the finely chopped pecans, pressing nuts into the balls as you roll them. Store in an airtight container in a cool place.

  2. *Whiskey, rum, or other liquor may be substituted for the bourbon.
