My Mom always made these for the holidays when I was growing up. Peanut Butter cookies are my favorite every day cookies. These are soft, tender peanut butter cookies, made into a crescent shape and sprinkled wit powdered sugar. A different twist on the basic peanut butter cookie. Enjoy!

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt


  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. Cream butter and sugars together until light a fluffy. Add peanut butter and mix until combined. Mix in egg and vanilla extract.

  3. In a separate bowl sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to wet ingredients until combined.

  4. Take a walnut sized amount of dough and roll it into a ball, then gently shape into a crescent shape and slightly pinch the ends. Place on lined cookie sheet about 1 1/2-inches from each other. Bake for about 10 minutes. Cookies will be VERY soft. Remove cookie sheet from oven and allow to cool on cookie sheet until completely cool. They will become more firm as they cool, but will still be fragile because they're soft cookies. Once cooled completely, dust with powdered sugar.
