  • 2 lbs. baby carrots
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. dried basil flakes (and a sprig of fresh basil for garnish)


  1. Cook carrots in a medium saucepan with water until tender; drain. Or you can steam them until they're tender. Put carrots back in pot without water and add butter, brown sugar, and basil. Cook over low heat until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved. Serve.
