The thing that makes this ham so delicious is the cranberry burgundy glaze that you put over the ham during the last 30 minutes, and serve along side the ham in a gravy dish. SO delicious! Everyone will want your recipe for this glaze. I make this ham for all my holidays, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It’s always a hit! Enjoy!

Prep Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 3 Hours and 15 Minutes
Servings: 8-12

  • 10-14 lb bone-in cooked ham
  • Whole cloves
  • 2 (16-oz each) cans whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup burgundy wine, or other dry red wine
  • 2 Tbsp prepared mustard

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°. Place the ham, fat side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Score the fat in a diamond pattern; stud with whole cloves. Bake about 3 hours, or until a meat thermometer registers 140°. While the ham is cooking prepare the glaze. During the last 30 minutes of cooking, spread 1/4 of the sauce over the ham.

  2. In a medium saucepan stir together the cranberry sauce, brown sugar, wine and mustard. Bring to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. Spoon 1/4 of the sauce over the ham during the last 30 minutes of roasting. Reheat the remaining sauce and serve with the ham.
