Who doesn't love a good burger?! I love burgers that have "stuff" on them... cheese, mushrooms, lettuce, and other good fixins. I try to discover new ways to jazz up the regular burgers and stuffing them has turned out to be a great idea for us. You can change up how you stuff your burger and personalize it to your liking. This particular recipe is for Feta-Stuffed Burgers. But try stuffing them with Swiss cheese…... view full recipe
These Thai Shrimp are great for an appetizer or a light refreshing lunch or dinner on a hot summer day. It's easy to make and only takes a couple of minutes to mix everything together, then just refrigerate in the marinade for 30 minutes and enjoy! Put them on skewers for a potluck or along with a BBQ. And serve it over Thai noodles for a Thai dinner. Or over a bed of lettuce for…... view full recipe
We LOVE Mexican Food. And these Pork Tacos are some of the BEST! They take a bit of time to make (most of which is just letting the pork cook), but they're totally worth the time it takes. There's nothing more southern than Fried Chicken. My Mom always made fried chicken the day before we were to go out on a boating adventure. We would eat it cold on the shore along with her famous potato salad, along with watermelon. It brings fond memories of those outings. We eat it mostly from the fryer when it's hot now, and sometimes with Waffles (Chicken and Waffles). It's great drizzled with a bit of honey…... view full recipe
A friend made us a Steak and Guinness Pie a couple years ago and my husband fell it love with it. I asked her for the recipe so I could make it myself. Here is the recipe with a couple of tweaks. It's perfect for a St. Patrick's Day dinner, or any day of year actually. Enjoy! I made this into 2 smaller pies in this picture instead of 1 regular sized pie. And here…... view full recipe
My Mom made Swedish Meatballs as an entree with buttered egg noodles when I was growing up and I love them to this day! I've tweaked on the sauce from her recipe just a tad and have come up with our favorite sauce. I often make them as an appetizer and serve them right in the crock pot without the noodles. Great for a holiday or party. And if you don't want to take the…... view full recipe
I love Chili on a cold snowy wintry night. I always have ingredients on hand to make chili. We have had guests in the B&B that have gotten snowed in and I can always whip up a batch of chili and cornbread to serve them. It's my go-to comfort food during the cold Colorado winter months. It's easy to make, and can easily be changed up to personalize it just the way you want it.…... view full recipe
Fettuccine Alfredo is one of those decadent pasta dishes that we like to order when we want to spurge on our pasta dinner. It's actually really simple to make and only takes a few ingredients. You can change it up by adding grilled chicken strips, cooked shrimp, peas, zucchini, carrots, roasted red bell peppers, and more. Be creative and jazz it up or keep it simple and traditional. My hubby went deer hunting for the first time last weekend and got a deer. I know, he killed Bambi. But, it's not for sport (well, maybe a little bit), it's for food. I have personally never been a fan of gamey tasting meat, but have really enjoyed some game meat when it's cooked well, especially wild boar. He needs to go boar hunting next time. Anyway, now that we have venison, I need to…... view full recipe
